The Opportunity:
Our apprentices tell us that it’s the balance between working and studying that will really give you the edge. When you’re not at TAFE learning the technicalities of your trade, you’ll be on site putting what you’ve learnt into practice with heavy machinery and equipment. You’ll have space to balance both study and work.

You’ll be challenged and stretched, but you’ll find it’s the best way to develop and learn. During the program, you’ll be able to draw upon the experience of your team and have the guidance from your manager to make sure your career starts in the best way.

At the end of your apprenticeship you’ll be a fully qualified tradesperson and if you have the desire, you can progress into other opportunities like supervision of study. Disciplines we commonly look for are mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and heavy fabrication.

Regardless of your year of study, you must have the flexible and proactive attitude to make the most of combining studying and working.

Our Recruitment Process
We believe what makes our business great, is our people. To find the best talent, we take all of our preferred candidates through the same recruitment process. Learn more about what to expect on your recruitment journey with us:

  • You submit an application:
    We review your application against the position criteria. If your skills and experiences are suitable for the role, we will contact you.
  • Phone interview:
    Get to know your recruiter and gain more understanding of the role. We will discuss the attributes and competencies required for the position.
  • Additional Assessments:
    You may be required to complete psychometric assessments. This may include verbal, numerical, safety component and personality questionnaires.
  • Interview commences:
    Our shortlisted candidates will attend a behavioural based face-to-face or telephone interview with their prospective manager.
  • Final stage:
    We will complete two reference checks using our online reference checking platform. Some candidates may be required to attend a full medical, others will complete a questionnaire, some candidate’s will be required to do a police and drivers licence check and all successful candidate’s will be required to prove their eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Offer:
    Congratulations! You are our preferred candidate. On acceptance of a verbal offer, we will send you a letter of offer.
