LIBERTY celebrates International Women’s Day

There are more than 750 women (1 in 8) work at LIBERTY Ostrava and 1,100 at LIBERTY Galati (1 in 7) – firmly debunking the myth that working in heavy industry is only for men.

We are very proud that our LIBERTY Galati plant is run by a woman, Aida Nechifor, for the first time in its 55-year history. Our female employees work in all parts of our business from management, administrative, and R&D roles, through to our steel or coke plant operations. So, to celebrate our female employees, this International Women’s Day every woman at LIBERTY Ostrava was given a gift to celebrate their massive contribution to the plant’s success.
