ALVANCE is GFG’s aluminium business brand, which brings together assets across the aluminium supply chain – from raw materials through to semi-finished components.
The business has a smelting capacity of 48ktpa and employs over 200 employees.
ALVANCE British Aluminium is the last remaining aluminium smelter in the UK and is powered by its own hydropower plant. Based in Lochaber in the Scottish Highlands, its hydropower operation makes the site one of the greenest metal production plants in the UK.
